Hand Embroidery Explorations 2-day Class; NC06a-b SA-SU
Learn the joys of slow stitching with wool! In this course, you will make a needle book entirely by hand. The front cover will be embellished with wool appliqué and hand embroidery. You will learn how to appliqué the wool pieces and then how to do the hand embroidered stitches. The kit includes everything you need to make one needle book. The goal is for you to leave the class with a completed project!
Stitches you will learn include: back stitch, Palestrina knot, pistil stitches, French knots, chain stitch, double cast on bullions, cast on bullions, bullions, fly stitch, closed fly stitch, Pekinese stitch, Italian knotted border stitch, bullion rose, running stitch and blanket stitch.
The full 2 day class fee of $50 is due at time of registration.
Cost of the kit, $60, includes EVERYTHING you will need to make the needle book, including pins, needles, threads, pre-cut wool pieces, scissors and some fun notions for you to try out. The $60 is payable to Lynn on the day of the class. Lynn will have other items for sale during class that you may purchase for future projects.
Number of students: 6 minimum and 20 maximum. All skill levels.
