Roger Nadrchal is new to Creede Woodcarvers Rendezvous. Based in Norfolk, Nebraska, Roger has become a recognized name in woodcarving. His work is set apart by precise details and his use of texture. His attention to detail is seen in his many realistic animal carvings. Because of this Roger has won multiple awards for his work, including winning Best of Shows for his mother giraffe and baby, lioness and cubs and treehouse carvings. He is also an award-winning cottonwood bark carver. Roger is sought after by many carving clubs as an instructor. He has taught at nationally recognized carving workshops and always receives rave reviews for his classes.
The best advice that he can give to a new carver is to go take a carving seminar. You will get three to five days of instruction and practice in carving, and you will see several different styles of carving. The next advice he would give is keep your tools sharp. Learn to sharpen your tools or find someone that can sharpen your tools for you.

Walnut bases will be available for an additional cost; however, students will need to preorder the bases. A complete list of tool and supplies will be provided to the students prior to the class.
The cost of the 5-day class fee of $325 is due at time of registration. Cost of the rough-outs will be $30 each payable to Roger on the day of the class. Walnut bases are available for $25 each but must be preordered.
