Gourd Bowl with Oak Leaf Pattern
In this seminar you will use the Vinyl Resist Technique to apply an oak leaf pattern to a gourd bowl (there will be other patterns & colors to choose from). Beckie will supply one (1) gourd for $10, patterns, transfer material, paints, alcohol ink dyes and applicators.
Tools: Please bring a wood-burner with a Skew tip, an apron, scissors, craft heat gun and a light with an extension cord. Your gourd will be wood burned, painted using alcohol ink dyes & acrylic paint. There are only two (@) craft heat guns for students to share, so if you have a craft heat gun please bring it.
When you finish you will have a beautiful gourd to accent your home or give as a gift. If you would like to put Leather lacing on the rim please sign up for the Tuesday seminar.
The full 1-day class fee of $40 is due at time of registration. The $10 cost for the gourd blank, as well as all the materials required to finish the project, is payable to Beckie on the day of the class.
