Beginning Carving
Gregg Thompson Beginning Carving - Basic Bear 3-day class, SA-MO; MO-WE
The class will take 3 days to complete from start to finish which includes painting and finishing. This is a great beginner’s class to learn safety, proper use of tools, and basic cuts.
If you don’t have tools already, he will have tools available for purchase. Gregg has had numerous compliments on how fun this class is from prior students and he’s sure you’ll agree. He encourages questions and loves having fun in class.
Tools needed: Please bring QUALITY carving tools that are SHARP and ready to carve. If you don’t have your tools, all tools will be available for purchase at class. Why not let your instructors help you get good tools? All students are required to wear a safety glove, which will also be available. Bring auxiliary lighting if you have it.
The class fee of $150 is due at registration. The first Basic Bear blank is free. Paints and finishing supplies will be provided for the project at no additional cost to the student.
Number of students: 4 minimum; 12 maximum.
