Students will begin with a piece of cottonwood bark cut out to basic shape of a church. You will learn new and different techniques to create your own customized details, using your own ideas or from pictures of churches that will be provided.
The full class fee, which includes materials, of $60/day is due at time of registration.
Number of Students: 5 minimum and 10 maximum.
This is open to carvers of all skill levels.
Tools needed: Carving knife & safety glove, 3/32 v-tool, needle file set (may be purchased from instructor for $10.00), pin vise with small drill bits, 1/8” & 1/4” #1 chisels, 5/8” #7 U-gouge. For church class only, drafting compass, ruler, & large metal file.
