Tim is bringing new project for you to enjoy. You will carve a duck decoy head, paint, insert glass eyes and fit it to a wooden golf club head. You will paint it to look like a miniature duck decoy.
An intermediate carver should be able to complete each project in a day using power tools. Carving with hand tools might take two days.
Carvers have the choice of ducks they wish to carve.
All materials will be provided. He will have a saw and a sander available to cut out other types of ducks if desired. For example, a Wood Duck.
The class fee is $45 for each duck, the material is included in the cost.
Tools required: Power carving, provide your own power carver, bits, and dust collector and power strip or extension cord. Or you can use your own hand tools (V tools, gouges and sharp knives). With the hand tools it might take you an extra day to complete.
Cost is $45 per duck. The $25 deposit for the class is applied toward the cost of the class. The remainder of the fees are due to the instructor at the start of class.
