Scrimshaw
Patty will teach students how to scrimshaw by scratching a design on a practice plexiglas panel. The scratches are filled with oil paint or ink. Scrimshaw is used on a variety of items such as pendants, bone, antlers, ivory, and knife handles. Adding color to scrimshaw will be covered. A practice board and all the tools necessary to scrimshaw are provided. You will need a magnifier and a good light. Call 512-557-2385 or email pattyadair@grandecom.net for questions. Cost is $35. The $25 deposit for the class is applied toward the cost of the class. The remainder of the fees are due to the instructor at the start of class.
