Small Bark Church (Tabletop)
Andy and Aaron will work together to teach students how to carve a realistic church from Cottonwood Bark (approximately 2" X 5") that has been cut out to the basic shape of a church. The students will use basic tools, as well as learn new and different techniques for achieving detail using files. They will be able to create their own customized details using ideas from pictures of churches that will be provided. The fee for the class is $90, and the blank is $20. The class size will be minimum 5 students and maximum 10 students at all skill levels. Tools required: 3/32” V-tool, needle file set (may be purchased from Instructor for $10), pin vice with small bits, drafting compass, 1/8" & 1/4" & 5/8" flat chisels, #7 gouge, ruler, and a large metal file.
Cost is $90 plus the blank ($20). The $25 deposit for the class is applied toward the cost of the class. The remainder of the fees are due to the instructor at the start of class.
